As Estátuas Cor-de-Rosa

Hoje é o Dia Nacional da Luta Contra o Cancro da Mama. Infelizmente é uma doença que atinge cada vez mais mulheres e é a segunda maior causa de morte entre as mulheres de todo o mundo. Para comemorar este dia, a Associação portuguesa Ame e Vive a Vida, decidiu iluminar de cor-de-rosa a estátua do Cristo Rei, em Almada e a estátua do Marquês de Pombal, em Lisboa. (para os mais distraídos, agora já sabem o porquê das estátuas estarem iluminadas com uma cor fofinha) Esta iniciativa tem como objectivo sensibilizar e chamar a atenção das pessoas para esta doença. The Pink Statue

Today is the National Day of the Fight Against Breast Cancer. Unfortunately it is a disease that affects more women everyda and is the second leading cause of death among women in all world. To celebrate this day, the Portuguese Association Love and Live the Life, decided to lighten of pink the statue of "Cristo Rei" in Almada and the statue of the "Marquês de Pombal" in Lisbon. (for the most distracted, now you know why the statues are illuminated with a fluffy color) This initiative aims to raise awareness and call people's attention to this disease.
